Thomasville City Schools Parents,
Thomasville City Schools continues to develop plans for school reopening on August 3. We continue to use guidelines developed by the Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to map out plans that will ensure the safest possible re-entry for all students and staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding as this guidance continues to evolve. We need your feedback and input to assist us to customize our support based on our specific family dynamics.
The guidance from the Georgia Department of Education and the Georgia Department of Public Health basically include 3 plans:
- Low/No Spread - Traditional face to face school
- Minimal/Moderate Spread – Traditional face to face, Hybrid Model (where ½ students are at school and ½ are at home for virtual learning with a rotation of days/weeks) or Full Virtual/Distance learning.
- Substantial Spread – Schools are closed and Virtual/Distance learning is used.
We understand your plans and preferences regarding your child’s attendance and/or interest in bus transportation may change as we approach the August 3rd start date.

Please complete the survey by July 1.
Thank you for taking the time to assist us in this important reopening plan.
We will look over the feedback and plan to announce our reopening plan the week of July 6.
