It was an exciting week in Thomasville Athletics last week. If you missed any of the action, here is a recap of many of our program's successes last week.
Congratulations to the Thomasville High School Bulldog Soccer Team. They continued their winning ways last week and captured the 2021 Region 1-AA Championship. The Bulldogs defeated Cook High School 4-0 and Fitzgerald High School 4-0. With the victories this past week and one region game remaining on the Bulldogs' schedule, the Dogs claimed another region title.
Congratulations to the Thomasville High School Bulldogs Baseball Team, who had exciting team performances last week. On Tuesday evening, the Bulldogs defeated Early County 1-0 to begin Region 1-AA play 1-0. On Friday, the Bulldogs played region nemesis Cook High School in an exciting doubleheader, defeating the Hornets in Game One 4-2 and following it up with a 3-2 victory in Game Two.

The MacIntyre Park Middle School Track and Field Team competed Thursday at the Colquitt County Middle School Invitational:
The Lady Bulldogs finished third overall, with the following members earning team points:
100-Meter Dash
Azelea Bowdry finished third overall and Kyli Alexander finished sixth.
200- Meter Dash
Lauryn Sampson finished second overall and Azelea Bowdry finished fifth.
400- Meter Dash
Lauryn Sampson finished first overall, Olivia Barnes finished seventh, and My'keria Gatlin finished eighth.
800- Meter Dash
De'Mya Williams finished third overall and set a new MacIntyre Park Middle School record with a time of 3:04.50
100-Meter Hurdles Olivia Barnes finished sixth overall.
The 4x100 Meter Relay Team of Kyli Alexander, Azelea Bowdry, Lauryn Sampson, and Rhaniya Wilson finished second.
The 4x400 Meter Relay Team of Kyli Alexander, My'keria Gatlin, Lauryn Sampson, and Olivia Barnes placed first overall.
In the high- jump, Kemya Wyche finished sixth overall.
Long Jump Kyli Alexander finished 2nd and Olivia Barnes 4th overall.
The MacIntyre Park Middle School Boys finished seventh overall.
100-Meter Dash, Kayden Walker, finished eighth.
200- Meter Dash
Kayden Walker finished fourth with a time of 26.2, breaking the MacIntyre Park Middle School record set this year by Patrick Lamons, who finished seventh.
400- Meter Dash, Karter Walker, finished fifth.
4x100 Meter Relay
KJ Herring, Patrick Lamons, Kayden, and Karter Walker finished eighth overall as a group.
4x400 Meter Relay
Marquis Futch, Cameron Hill, Kayden, and Karter Walker finished fourth and set a new MacIntyre Park Middle School record with a time of 4:22.11.
High-Jump
Cam Hill finished seventh overall.
