Athletics schedule

First off I would like to say a big Thank You to everyone who worked with us this past week with all of the schedule changes we dealt with due to the possible hurricane. We were able to make sure all teams played their games and travelled to and from their destinations without any issues.

With all of the schedule changes, we had a pretty light week of games. The football team travelled to Albany to open Region 1-AAA play against the Monroe Tornadoes on Wednesday and came away with a 25-14 victory. Considering the unusual schedule, a big crowd of Bulldog Fans represented the "T" well at Hugh Mills Stadium. With the win, the Dogs improved to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in 1-AAA play.

On Tuesday night the Lady Bulldogs volleyball team faced off against Carver - Columbus in a key Region 1-AAA contest. The Lady Dogs swept the Lady Tigers 3-0 to improve to 2-0 in region play. The girls then travelled to Tallahassee on Thursday night to face Community Christian School and came away with a 3-0 straight-set win. With the victory, the Lady Dogs improved to 16-9 overall. This Tuesday, the girls travel to face Columbus High School in an important matchup that will determine the top seed and host site for the Region Tournament. Good Luck Girls!

On Saturday, the Middle School Volleyball team, coached by Larry Connell and Natalie Connell, won the Area Tournament for the 2nd Consecutive year! Way to go girls!

On Saturday, the Cross Country Teams raced in Albany at the Westover Invitational. The Middle School Boys placed 2nd, while the girls finished 3rd. The team had several runners set Personal Records at the event. Middle School runners with PR's: Caroline Sanders, Joe Lehman, Jack Chastain, Luke Ridley, Cuyler Ulloa, and Jacob Yentzer.

For the High School team Nicholas Connell, Erick Drury, Nic Evans, and Emanuel Rathel also had PR's. Senior Josh May finished 10th overall with a season best time of 18:48.

This Friday Night will be the Homecoming Football game against Carver of Columbus. Kickoff is set for 8 PM. Tickets may be purchased on GoFan starting today. We will be selling tickets in the Dog Pen on Thursday and Friday from 10 AM - 2 PM. Tickets are $10.
