I hope everyone had a relaxing fall break and is ready to go for the 2nd 9 weeks! As we enter the new quarter some of our teams have wrapped up their regular season and are moving on to the playoffs.
First up is the THS Volleyball team. The girls traveled to Columbus on Saturday and competed in the Region 1-AAA Tournament. The girls defeated Carver in the first match before falling to Columbus in the Region Championship. With the 2nd place finish, our girls will host Pike County in the first round of the AAA State Playoffs on Tuesday in Thomasville. The game will begin at 5:30. On Thursday, the THS Lady Bulldogs Softball team will travel to Long County High School
for the 1st Round of the GHSA AAA State Playoffs and face Jackson High. The girls will be
participating in a regional style double elimination tournament that will conclude on Saturday,
with the winner advancing to the Elite 8 in Columbus.
Also on Thursday night of this week the THS Bulldogs will carry their 4 game win streak
on the road to Albany and face the Dougherty Trojans in a key 1-AAA contest. The Dogs are coming
off a commanding 56-6 region win over Columbus on Friday night to improve to 5-3 overall
and 3-0 in the region. Tickets may be purchased at the gate with the link below on GoFan.

I would also like to congratulate our Middle School Cross Country Team on their results from
Middle School State Cross Country Meet this past weekend. The Middle School Boys placed
3rd overall out of 21 teams, while the group that ran in the JV Middle School Boys race placed 2nd.
Congratulations to all these kids and Coach Knop on a great middle school cross country
season!
